Homemade frozen lemonade, paired with basil infused simple syrup and, of course, plenty of gin make this Frozen Gin Basil Lemonade refreshing, potent and oh so delicious. Plus, there’s almost no added sugar to keep the calories low and the hangover to a minimum.

Frozen Gin Basil Lemonade Low Sugar Cocktail
This Frozen Gin Basil Lemonade also might not make up for a lousy night. It certainly can’t hurt in my attempts to forget about it, though.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar
- 3 basil leaves
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 cups ice
- 1 shot 1.5 oz gin
Instructions
- Step 1 In a small sauce pan, bring water to a boil. Stir in sugar until it dissolves fully
- Step 2 Add basil leaves to boiling water and allow to steep for about a minute. Set aside for 15-30 minutes to allow flavors to meld
- Step 3 In a food processor or blender, combine lemon juice, basil syrup and ice. Pulse until mixture has a uniform, frozen consistency
- Step 4 Pour frozen mixture into a glass then pour gin over the top
